Goliath cranes are used in power plants, railway yards, construction sites, warehouses, shipyards, fabrication units and mining industries.
The different types of gantry cranes are Single Girder Goliath Cranes (for lighter loads), Double Girder Goliath Cranes (for heavy-duty lifting) and Semi Gantry Cranes (where one side is supported by a building and the other by a leg).
An overhead (EOT) crane is fixed run on building‑mounted runway beam. Goliath Crane move on rails fixed on the ground supported by legs.
